    Default to s.fl.mommy re; cooking

hey girl, this is obnurse, first and foremost your food is not going to look like those pics and they don't need to. your family does not care if you have truffle oil drizzled on the plate in the design of a heart or about that sprig of parsley. you need to get some basic manuevers down and then you can do alot of things. you have the best cookbook in front of you with your computer. i like to go to foodnetwork.com or foodtv.com. stay away at least now from people like emeril or anyone that thinks its easy to make homemade fresh pasta!!!(lol) racheal ray and her 30 minute meals are good. also just google something like "easy recipes" or look for 5 ingredients or less to a good meal. i cook 3-4 times a week and usually easy but good food. my husband loves everything i make. if you have a question or want a recipe, write me. bye, obnurse

Thanks for the advice. I do often search the web but still have trouble finding recipes for my picky eaters. My husband is very supportive and happily eats everything and anything that I put in from of him. It's just for my own piece of mind that I'd like to give them a true homecooked meal & not just another meal in a box.
    Know what I mean??

    Default Microwave Vegan

    I only cook in a micro and am a vegan...but I
have a really nice recipe with salmon.

You crush it up, mix in whatever seasoning you like...
I love jerk...more pepper the better, but I suppose
you'd prefer to chop up onions and stuff...
anyway...you have the salmon in the bowl.

You pick out the cartiledge and the bones...take your
time...and the black nasty skin stuff before you mash
it with a fork. Then add your seasoning, then some
bread crumbs, and some extra virgin olive oil.

now you get it kind of dryish...and roll it in more
    breadcrumbs.

Put it on a slightly oiled plate in the micro for 2 min
at med/high. Flip them, crush them, and another
    1 minutes at med high.

    Take out.

Put spagetting in micro bowl, cover with water, into
micro for five minutes at high let rest a minute,
    take out, pour off water.

Now put the salmon patties and the spagetti on a
plate, pour over the tomato sauce, heat for one
    minute at med high, serve.

really nice and kids love it.

Cook some ground turkey in frying pan. Cool. Mix into a tossed salad with veggies your family likes. Maybe some ground carrots. Add some raisins or apricot pieces if kids will eat them. Toss with California salad dressing.(red) Throw on some shredded cheddar cheese at table.

    Easy Chili

ground meat* (or not), 1- jar of Salsa (the kind you use for corn chips), 1- Tex Mex Chili Seasoning, 1- can of crushed tomatoes, 1- can of red kidney beans.

    1. Brown the meat in a skillet.
    In the meantime:
    2. In a large pot, mix the jar of salsa, Tex Mex Chili Seasoning, crushed tomatoes and kidney beans. Heat. Add water if it is too thick.
3- When the meat is brown, drain the fat and transfer to the por with the above mixture.
4- Bring to boil and then simmer for 5 min.

Add hot sauce (if you are into that)

    There you have it.

    *ground beef, chicken, turkey, pork
