I guess you could say one thing I love is cooking Asian/Japanese dishes...

This one is very simple "if" you have a shop that sells Mirin (sweet cooking sauce), we can get it in supermarkets as well as Asian shops so I hope you can too, if not, sorrrrrryyyy I made you hungry Maybe..

Pork Belly is basically, thick pork "spare ribs".

Rub salt on the skin of the pork belly. Cut up cubes of celery, onion and carrot and place on an oven tray (no oil) they act as the buffer ( haha nearly used gg's)...

Place the pork belly on the top of the vegetables and pour half a small container of Mirin sauce over the pork.

Bake in the oven for 1hr, on medium.

You will note that the pork changes colour to a dark honey.. Ensure that the veggies are still underneath or it's harder to clean later. As they change to that colour, turn them over.

The end result is soft pork, that melts in your mouth with a sweet flavour.

If you have a steamer, steam asparagus, bok choy, beans, spinach, anything green for 5 - 10 mins in water.

When cooked take water away and pour over 1 teaspoon only, of oyster sauce and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic and mix..

You can add, some rice if you wish.
