Ok, the wife suggested that I share this with y'all being as it's that time of year.
I can definitely say that this stuff is FAN-DANGED-TASTIC!; but very addictive Be careful.

    Santa Bark

    Ingredients:

    Saltine crackers
Semi - sweet chocolate chips (12 oz. package) [add some Belgian chocolate for a variance]
1 finely ground pkg. walnuts [or toasted sliced almonds broken up]
2 sticks of (unsalted) butter [I like salted butter]
    1/2 cup light brown sugar

    1) Line a medium size jelly roll pan with parchment paper [or half a sheet pan, you can also use heavy duty foil].

    2) Line pan with saltine crackers in rows until pan is full. [Takes about 1 2/3 stacks/packages from the box of crackers]. Set aside.

    3) Melt 2 sticks of butter in sauce pan, with 1/2 cup of brown sugar. Bring to boil and stir constantly for 3 minutes.

    4) Pour mixture over saltines and bake 350 for 15 minutes in oven.

    5) Turn oven off, and remove pan and pour package of chocolate chips onto crackers; and put back into oven for 1 minute to melt chocolate chips.

    6) After 1 minute remove pan from oven and smooth chocolate chips with knife.

    7) Cover with walnuts [or almonds].

    8) Cool in refrigerator for 1 hour. Remove from refrigerator and break into pieces.

    Enjoy!
BTW: This is also a great gift for the neighbors (if you have any left).

Does sound good. Thanks for sharing!
~Today, any person can fight the battles of one day It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternity's- yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down. It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore, live but one day at a time.~
