    Default Grandma’s recipes for natural shampoo

    Wonder of the Desert Shampoo for Dry Hair
    Ingredients
    1/4 cup liquid castile soap
    1/4 cup organic aloe vera gel
    1 teaspoon pure vegetable glycerin
    1/4 teaspoon organic avocado oil or other light organic vegetable oil
    Directions
    Mix together all the ingredients. Store in a bottle and always shake well before using. Apply to hair and allow to sit for a few mintues. Rinse well with cool water.

    Have to say, I'm all for non chemicals, let's face it, we are killing ourselves with all of this, underarm aluminium, hair colours, shampoos, etc..

    But, 1) I have to use conditioner after and 2) I love the idea of any oil lightly placed on my face, if the Italians and Greeks, look so good at 70 there has to be something with this Olive oil, oh and I use that off course for cooking

    But, putting vegetable oil in my hair? I can only visually see, greasy hair at the end of it...

    But good for your Grandma in making up natural products, doerfler, you've written a few things like this but never really backing it up with how it has worked, etc....

    And, can we ask why it's called Desert Shampoo?

    Interaction on this Forum is a good thing you know...

    I too love the idea of natural products.. The amount of run off into our rivers and streams, pollution...... Argh!
    But now that i have the recipe for shampoo.. what about one for conditioner..? (if there is a post already on here, pardon my repitition..)
