Homemade cat food - chicken recipe
I decided to make my kitten some homemade cat food using real chicken and brown rice. I found this recipe on the net and modified it a little to get the right proportions. Miki loved it, she would have ate it until she popped.
Chicken, Rice and Vegetables cat food:
1/4 lb ground chicken, cooked
1/2 cup of cooked brown rice
¼ cup grated carrots
1/4 cup green peas, cooked
2 teaspoons butter (optional)
Put chicken, brown rice, peas and carrots in a food processor and mix well. If there is any fat from the chicken, pour about two teaspoons over the mix, if none use butter. Serve at room temperature. If refrigerated, warm to room temperature in the microwave.

Chaya, my cat just went to the vet, for 2 days..
He was a sick as a dog, diarea and all.
I found out that cats do not "need" veg and should not eat pasta or only a very small portion.
Dogs, no problems. I was feeding him my diabetic dog food.
Apparently they need the ingredients that are specific for cats, in cats food.. I am sure I can read all of that and make something up but for now, I am giving him cat food (or fresh chicken) which they said is alright with dry food..
Don't take the risk hun.. It cost me money but more importantly scared the carp out of me.
