Absolutely YUM!!! Things I would do differently next time would be to use dried chickpeas, soak them overnight, then rinse and dry before seasoning instead of canned to decrease the sodium a bit, AND I'd definitely add MORE cayenne. I actually used more than 1/5 tsp but they are still not quite spicy enough for me. The mixture of these spices is absolutely INCREDIBLE. In half a cup, 6 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein and that's not counting the fiber in some of the spices. Wonderful little healthy snack. And super duper easy. I got this recipe off another recipe site and highly recommend!
1 can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
1 T olive oil
1/4 - 1/2 tsp. Moroccan Spice Mix
salt to taste (I used about 1/4 tsp. kosher salt)
Spice Mix:
2 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. ground coriander
1/2 tsp. chile powder (I used Ancho chile powder from Penzeys)
1/2 tsp. sweet paprika
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 pinch of ground cloves
