Thumbs up Baked Salmon

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 (6 ounce) fillets salmon
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a medium glass bowl, prepare marinade by mixing garlic, light olive oil, basil, salt, pepper, lemon juice and parsley. Place salmon fillets in a medium glass baking dish, and cover with the marinade. Marinate in the refrigerator about 1 hour, turning occasionally.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  3. Place fillets in aluminum foil, cover with marinade, and seal. Place sealed salmon in the glass dish, and bake 35 to 45 minutes, until easily flaked with a fork.

I had the nastiest smoked salmon last night. Dear God, that was some horrible stuff and I usually love smoked salmon. ^_^

A recipe like this would go good for poached salmon, too. ^_^

Ever had salmon ice cream? Salmon cream cheese? Good stuff.

I once tried to grill a piece of salmon on a grilling pan and it just made my whole apartment smell really bad! I know i didnt make it the right wayor i was just doing something wrong, I should try baking it one day and see how it turns out. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

I don't grill indoor. every thing including yourself will smell like smoke.
and it takes time for the odor to go away.

I made this a few weeks ago, and it was amazing.
I only made one little serving, though ... eyeballed the marinade ingredients into a tinfoil "package" and it was the greatest no-dishes meal I have ever had in my life!
I definitely recommend this recipe ^_^

it is thrilling to know that you liked my recipe. I also eyeball when I cook , but use the exact measurement when I bake.
