Next time your making ur own sauce.. try adding a jar of SALSA!! It is great and adds a kick

...Or add mushrooms and meat, also. All that stuff is really tasty. ^_^
One time, I had a plate of penne and I poured my own sauce over it and cracked a raw egg on top. It wasn't half bad. |

I am a serious cook but I never have been able to make my own pasta sauce. The best store-bought one I came up with lately is Kroger's Private Label pasta sauces, made in Canada, for $2.99 US per jar. The flavor is better than Emeril's sauce and prices are similar (if getting Emeril on sale.)
Does anyone have a favorite store bought sauce or good recipes for pasta sauce? (I like it naked of meat, like my pizza btw, with no meat ingredients.) Last edited by amom; 10-10-2007 at 02:38 PM. |

I've never made my own sauce either. I usually just go to the store and by a jar. Never thought to put salsa in it either. Hey Shortay, what made you think to put salsa in it?
