Lightbulb My Famous apple pie that got my freinds jelous

As the name suggests, this apple pie that got my friends jealous when their husbands all agreed that this is the best apple pie they 'd ever had.

It was Ok, I gave them the recipe, and they are happy with the results and with their husbands compliments to them.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 8 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

DIRECTIONS

Mix your apple with the cornstarch, cinnamon and lemon juice
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add water, white sugar and brown sugar and vanilla , and bring to a boil. Reduce temperature and let simmer.
  2. add the syrup mixture to the apple and mix gently.
  3. Place the bottom crust in your pan. Fill with apples, mounded slightly.
  4. Cover with a lattice work of crust, or the way you like it.
  5. Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Continue baking for 45 minutes, until apples are soft.
note
place a baking sheet under the pie pan in the oven to keep it clean from the the juices.

Mmm. Thank you. ^_^

I'm really not for sweety-sweets, but a nice meat pie makes me happy. XD

My boyfriend did say that the pie you posted looks absolutely delicious and he doesn't even like sweety-sweets either.
