Question I need some help

Hello, I was given some fresh corn and green beans from a family members garden. However, I have no idea on how to clean or what I need to do to prepare these items. I can understand the corn but am having trouble with the green beans.

I know this seems silly but I just don't know how to do this.

Thanks,

Miss Daisy

Actually, corn on the cob fresh is eatible believe it or not, excepting it is of course not hot, and without melted butter, perhaps not as nice...

String beans, simply wash in cold water, cut the end off, where the stem is...

I only boil beans in a saucepan for around 3 minutes enough to start or ensure they are half cooked, taste it... If you boil it for too long they go light green and mushy.

If you then empty the water you can place back on the stove with the following, stiring for just a couple of minutes until sauces are hot and cheese is disolved and eat:

1) - table spoon of butter, teaspoon of crushed garlic, and sliced nuts, almonds for instance...

2) - tomato puree, 2 tablespoons, 2 tablespoons water, and 3 tablespoons of any cheese, i use parmesan, it melts over the cheese with a stringy effect.

Both are great.

Now i'll move this to recipes, as i am sure there are way more ideas out there.
