It doesn't help that girl now days are acting and dressing to appear old at younger and younger ages.
Had a shocking experience recently. I was at a out-of-town meeting, and several people had brought family. One of the men about my age (mid 40s) had brought his college-age daughter, and we talked for a bit. Now I'm married and don't fool around, and I also find relationships with a big age gap to be somewhat disturbing, so I didn't say or do anything inappropriate. But I did think she was rather cute.
Later I found out she is 13!. THIRTEEN!. I'm still horrified. I start to understand the people who are accused of sex crimes against children who claim they "didn't know how old she was". Apparently it can be really hard to tell sometimes.

I must be wicked, because I laughed after reading that.
I could picture your face, when you found out her age.
Agree, totally with Sourpuss, how are guys meant to determine age these days when even Modelling Agencies are trying to pic "13" year olds to be the new famous face of something, "which by the way" has kicked up a stir, but she's only a child, being subjected to the world of .....
Even the fasion for 13 year olds are really designed tight fitting, outlining their figures and the 18 year olds dress in the same fashion, it seems.
How old are you? 18. mmm... they even get into night clubs, well i read that some celebrity took their 13 year old daughter there once.
You'll get over it, Rcoryeus, flirt with 25+ only then you'll be safe.
Do we not realise that in order to find a soul
It doesn't happen over night
if truth were to be told.
Like everything in life that's hard to achieve
you must believe!
I'll get over it - but its been a week and I still feel like I'm either an idiot or a pedophile (or maybe both). I actually don't flirt with anyone under about 35 - I'm very touchy about the power imbalance / giving wrong impression.
I guess I'm not alone though. I was in Tokyo with a male friend of mine, and he commented that he couldn't tell if he was supposed to be attracted to the women he saw in this area, or if maybe they were MUCH too young. Japan is particularly tricky, it seems that when they are out at night, all women from about 12 to 30 dress to look 18. AARRGH!
It's really not our fault, we're men after all.
They're the once trying to put themself in this position, I'm sort of of the mind set that if you're going to blag your way into a bar, get guys to buy you drinks with a short skirt and playful attitude, then you probably deserve to get shagged, regardless of how old you are. Though really, their parents should be doing a better job.
Actually this made me think of a 4chan picture:
(I wonder if that's going to make everyone angry, haha)
Looks like someone already killed the link. I saw it just before it got deleted - please don't post things like that - law enforcement in the US has absolutely NO sense of humor. I don't know if the picture was technically illegal - probably not, but that makes very little difference these days.
Now I've got to go wipe my browser cache.
Now, now, Anon, you know better :P
I think the problem here, and this is inclusive of the parents, is that these young girls are messed up in the head. They're bombarded with images every day that they don't realize that they need to GROW into; they're not ready to be those images at age 13.
That isn't an excuse for a pedophile, of course, though it's understandable that a mentally stable man would be confused (sexually or otherwise) by a provocative young girl. But just as it's a consenting adult's responsibility not to take advantage of a mentally ill adult (all flippancy aside, it would make me extremely uncomfortable to know I was having sex with a crazy man) it's their responsibility to not take advantage of the very confused mind and body of a teenager.
I think your reaction to finding out the girl was 13 is proof enough you're not a pedo :P
Hahah, aw, I wouldn't say that picture broke any rules or laws... Though I'll admit it's borderline. It is funny though. And it highlights a serious point, people don't often focus on the difference between a 15 year old and a 10 year old, it's just blanket "you're f'd in the head".
croreyus, you're so paranoid, haha. Though I suggest that you use a data shredder to get rid of the image from your cache, if the police conviscated your hard drive they'd find it if you cleared the cache :P...
Yay thanks for making me look at that anon, really appreciate it...![]()
I have some reason to be paraonid - how can I put this... my income is provided by the government, if they wish they can monitor anything I do online. Clearing the browser cache is not a way to hide data - that is impossible - the internet transaction has already been recorded - but might demonstrate an honest attempt to get rid of the image.
