Late Bloomer-Never had a boyfriend
hi all. this is a pretty cool site and i hope someone can give me a little advice.
i am 22 -female- and believe it or not, i have never had a boyfriend. i'm interested in a guy that i met a few months ago and we are still getting to know each other. i'm wondering how i am supposed to tell him that i have never been in a relationship before.he has been very open an honest about his past relationships. i'm sure he was wondering why i was so silent about my own past! anyway, i really like him but i am very awkward in terms of what to say and all that stuff most people figured out in high school. should i tell him straight out? has anyone been in this position?
thanks

I would be honest with him. It isn't a big deal that you haven't been in a relationship at such a young age. There could be many reasons you haven't been. Maybe you were a great student, or mature enough to realize that high school boys are a waste of time. Whatever your reason, don't be ashamed. Most people-men or women are glad that they don't have to deal with the other person's "old baggage" of relationships. He won't have to hear, "you know, my old boyfriend did this or that and it hurt me or made me happy, yadda yadda....". Being honest is ALWAYS the best way to go. If he is a good guy, he won't react badly!

There's no reason to be uncomfortable.
Many of us went to school to read our
books and didn't know there were two sexes.
Tell him you were too busy to waste time
with pointless affairs.
