I noticed that with people I've known that have ended their relationships they'll leave their pictures up on facebook after months a breakup.

I wonder the same thing. After my ex and I broke up (after 4 years) I took all pictures of him off my facebook. I did not want any reminder of him.

I'll be honest, i still have a few photo's here and there up i just havent gotten rid of them mainly due to laziness and i have hundreds of photos up and to go through all the albums to find the pictures, to me, is a waste of time lol

    But thats just me

I guess it's just not something I really think of. I have many albums on fb, and in some of those I have pictures of myself and an ex. Now, if I had an album titled with his name with lovey dovey smoochy pics in it, yeah I'd prob delete those. But the pics I have of him are in settings in which we were doing other things like halloween party, vacation, etc. Those are my memories too. And since we didn't have a bad "I hate you" type of breakup, it just never crossed my mind.

He, on the other hand, when he found out I was dating someone, went through EVERY single pic he had and deleted ANYTHING with me in it. I still haven't done so. It is my past....I have no need to attempt to erase it.

I removed the pics in respect to my current boyfriend. I am sure he doesn't want to go through any of my photos and come across me and my ex.

I do not have pictures of my ex due to respect for my boyfriend. I would not want to see pictures of his ex on his Facebook! However, I do know a few people who keep theirs up because they are still on good-terms and their ex-'s were a big part of their life at the time and they can still remember the happy times - while moving on at the same time. They don't want to completely erase the memories.
