Should I wish my ex a happy b-day?
He broke up with me in June. We have seen each other a few times but after this past September when I saw him for his sisters confirmation, it was the last time we've talked. Well tomorrow is his birthday and I was wondering if it would be a good or bad idea to just text him happy birthday. He didn't give me a happy birthday text or call which is fine with me. I'm not hoping that him and i get back together because now i've accepted the breakup. I'm pretty interested to date other people but not get into another relationship until i'm done with school (especially with me ex). So what should i do? Would i look stupid to say happy birthday even though he didn't say happy b-day to me? I just thought it would be a nice gesture to text him a happy birthday and that's it.
It would not be stupid and is a nice gesture if:
1. You really mean it.
2. You really aren't trying to get in contact with him to get together again.
3. The breakup was cordial.
If is also just fine to not send wishes - he probably doesn't expect them.
Yup I really do mean to wish him a happy birthday and that's it. Besides I want travel after I graduate and the last thing I need is to have someone hold me back. (not to sound mean or anything)
I personally wouldn't text him. I would at most send my wishes through a mutal friend.
I second what foxdana said. He didn't text you, so he's probably not looking for a birthday text from you.
