I do not know how much help this can be to anyone, but I recently solved a bleeding problem I was having with a simple change.
My last relationship was with a man who did not like sex all too much, and we were only doing it, if at all, once or twice a month. I was constantly having bleeding problems -- bleeding every time we had sex, having periods that were extremely light but lasted terrible long, etc. Even when I got out of this relationship I was still bleeding with any guy I had casual sex with (this with a total normal pap and a befuddled ob-gyn). I had a period that lasted three weeks and not even an ultrasound showed any irregularities.
I don't know what exactly was wrong, but I met my current boyfriend and we have regular sex three or four times a week. Since then, I have gone back to my regular routine, which was only one or two periods a year (due to me taking Depo-Provera), and very little to no spotting throughout the rest of the year. I have also not bled once during sex-- which we were worried about in the beginning but don't think twice about now.
I do take, as I said, Depo-Provera, the shot, which has limited me to maybe one or two periods a year (been taking it two years and only had three periods, and none of the emotional distress at all that comes with it

). I know every situation is different, and please don't start having tons of sex to see if this fixes your problem, but if you are in a relationship with someone you would enjoy having regular sex with, give it a go. It worked for me!
As I also said, this was done with me having a regualr PAP and no negative results coming out of an ultrasound. My doctor still does not know why I had bled, but because it stopped, and my followups have been okay, she suggested keeping in a healthy sexual lifestyle!
