Exclamation I was fairly sheltered

I'm seventeen, and my parents have always sheltered me, so when I dont know something about sex, I try to pretend and go along with it, but it makes me curious.

Recently, my friend just started having sex, and she always likes to talk about how they did it, and I'm just so confused about the different positions. I thought there was just laying dow and standing up...?

Any possible way two bodies can join together people will find, someday you will too. There are a lot books on this, magazine articles, stuff on line. See what you can find.

Going to give you a tip.

Don't talk to your friends about your sex life, positions and how it was, what size he is, haha, anything.

When I was your age, I told my "best friend" that my "boyfriend" first love, was great, etc a bit of detail... She decided to try him for herself, then tried to blame me it was my fault for telling her.

Also, it's disrespect.. If you are going to have a relationship with a man, then it's a relationship between the two of you... And, so what goes on behind closed doors is between the two of you only.

As the above posters have said, google around, read, look at pictures and you can learn what you may wish to try or not...

You need books books and more books!! Theres so much info out there, and so much you probably don't know, but I would suggest getting as much knowledge as you can. The internet also has tons of info, as do magazines. I personally love talking with the girls about sex, we get alot of good ideas from each other. And there's nothing wrong with that. Just make sure they are trustworhy, and don't tell them anything you don't want anyone else to know. Otherwise, I find it liberating to be open about my experiences, it helps me learn. I was sheltered too, it backfired on my parents, and I learned everything the hard way. I wish they had information as readily available as they do now. Consider yourself lucky.
