More to the point this time. Should girls maturbate? My girlfriend never maturbates and when I asked her about it she got very upset and didn't want to talk about it. Growing up I thought girls didn't do this, then I went to college and found out that many do (if not most), now I'm with a girl who never does it. I'm confused. I thought it was healthy and normal. Should I be concerned that she never masturbates or should I be concerned that she doesn't want to talk about it? If she doesn't enjoy it, than I guess that's ok. I'm worried maybe she was sexually abused. Am I over-reacting? Should I just let this go?

I'd say you are overreacting, but you know your girlfriend better than anyone here does.
Lots of people are brought up thinking that touching themselves is "dirty" or "wrong," and women especially in our culture are encouraged to shroud their sexuality.
Maybe she does masturbate but doesn't feel comfortable telling you? Even if you search masturbation on this forum, regarding male masturbation, you'll see that many people feel masturbation takes away from the relationship.There are a lot of differing opinions out there and your girlfriend's masturbation or lack thereof her own business as long as it doesn't affect your sex life.

no, she doesn't masturbate. trust me. and yes, it does affect our sex life. Many sex books encourage mutual maturbation, but that's not even possible in my situation.

As strange as it sounds, I never do, I don't like it much on my own. The only time I do is with my bf, which is when its lots of fun, otherwise it doesn't appeal to me. I'd much rather wait until I see him

maybe she does like in the shower or when your not together and feels weird talking about it.
this is my guess as everyone usually does something at certain times and some people dont like certain subjects.
if i am wrong then maybe little is right. but i feel she does. maybe as much as the next person but i think she does.

Yeah, I expected this response and the answer is that she does not. All I can say is trust me no this one. She's never been into it and she certainly never does now.

Little is right, alot of women aren't comfortable with touching themselves and I think that ties to problems communicating about sex and lack of understanding of what 'works' for them. That seeems to translate into making their partner entirely responsible for their pleasure, while at the same time they can provide little input on what they prefer. Kind of like going to the resturant and expecting to order what you like from a list of unknown foods and then expecting them to feed you too!

I don't masturbate on my own and never have. To be honest, I've never had a problem finding someone to do it for me...(insert smug look here). I don't enjoy masturbation on my own so I don't. I don't think it is abnormal for a woman not to masturbate and I don't think it is abnormal for a woman to masturbate. I think normal is an individual thing. What is normal for me is not normal for your gf, my best friend, the lady at the checkout stand, etc. Let her be her; even if that means no masturbation.
