    Default Which brand?

    My boyfriend and I have been having sex for several months now, and im always fine in the beginning but then it starts hurting me..i know the issue is dryness and i need a lubricant.
    i was just wondering which brands you have all tried, liked/disliked. I have heard astroglide is better than KY but i'd like your input as well, along with any other good brands you may have used..thanks =)

    I used to have that problem - I used ky but felt it was kind of greasy... then one of my friends had a pure romance party and I bought some edible whipped strawberry lubricant from her and really loved it. It was light, not greasy, and tasted good.

    Also, losing your 'wetness' (for lack of a better term) may be something more mental than physical. Are you just zoning out after a while? Losing interest? My problem was being painfully dry pretty much the whole time... I was able to solve that by reminding myself throughout the day that I was going to have sex later, and if I felt 'hot' for whatever reason to not suppress it like I'm accustomed to doing (many years of a strictly conservative upbringing). Anyway, it was definitely a mental state that I had to change - now I'm never dry and hardly ever experience pain.

    Do you use condoms? If not, coconut oil is the only "lubricant" we use. It's perfect and it tastes good too!

    I don't think the problem is mental...im very into whatever we're doing and i really dont have any guilt or shame about my sexuality but i totally see where you're coming from..i think im just naturally dry lol
    I saw something strawberry flavored and it looked interesting...do you know what the actual product was called?

    We do use condoms but im on the pill and have been considering trying sex with out a condom (im veryyyy strict about taking my pill on time every day so as far as birth control goes i think im covered lol) What is the brand that you use?

    Thanks =)

    It's called Whipped Edible Massage Cream by Pure Romance, and the flavor is strawberry cheesecake (although I think they have more than one flavor). I'm not sure where you can get it; I think you have to go through a consultant...?

    Ooh coconut oil... so many uses!

    I should have mentioned that I reacted to every type of man-made lubricant out there. I'd get itchy, swollen, and it stung! I was so relieved when someone suggested coconut oil and we discovered how perfect it is. It's natural, has antibiotic, antifungal properties, it's edible, and it doesn't cause me any discomfort. Also, instead of feeling "sticky" down there, I just felt moisturized. We get it at the health food store and I put a few spoon-fulls at a time in a tupperware. We have had the same jar of it for over a year and have plenty left. It's also a solid until it hits body temperature and then it turns liquid.

    Sensitivity is an issue, these days the word is that 20% of the population has some sort of chemical sensitivity. Parabens are a biggie. Astroglide makes a paraben free product you can get a free sample by requesting one on their web site.

    For myself (love coconut, it doesn't love me) coconut oil would trigger an allergic reaction, you have to find what works for you!
