Okay, so this may be TMI but I really need some advice here. I just had sex with my hubby about an hour ago. During sex I was fine, no different positions, nothing went wrong/different than usual. I'm not on birth control, I'm in my early 20's, and I have a 3 yr old little boy. Okay.. now for the problem! IMMEDIATELY after sex, I laid down on my side, and had the worst pains of my life!! Worse than labor contractions!! The pain was cramping/stabbing in my uterus area and it seemed to radiate outwards. I could feel it in my rear, my sides, my back, my abdomen, EVERYWHERE between my boobs and my thighs. I am physically in so much pain that I can not even turn over. (thank you laptop!) What do you think this could be!? Believe me, I will be scheduling an appointment with the doc ASAP, but for now Any Ideas? I jumped right on the computer to research the topic (hoping that I'm not alone here) and so far the only thing that I can find on WebMD is ruptured cysts? Which is really freaking me out right about now! I will admit I've slacked on my gyno visits and I haven't had a full checkup in over a year (maybe two!!) so I'm really worried now. I just took 800mg of Ibuprofen hoping that will atleast help me sleep some. Please someone say I'm not alone! |

You poor girl, sometimes the computer can make it worse though, who hasn't entered sore big toe or something and came back with cancer and hours to live!
However this has happened to me 3 times. Once about your age and it turned out to be my uterus which tilts backwards and it moved a bit, it moved because I was pregnant (about two weeks). Second time it was my backwards uterus again no reason the Dr could see and was sent home with pain killers. Third time it was because I had colic in my bowel few days of tablets and its never come back. Good luck! |

Definitely glad to hear Ruptured Cysts isn't the only possibility. And yes, the computer sure does heighten the panic quite a bit! Well I'm still in a decent amount of pain today, but at least I'm able to move around now. I scheduled a visit with the Dr, but the soonest I could get in was Thursday
Thanks!

You aren't the only one on here who has had complaints of pain after sex. Perhaps you pinched a nerve? If the GYN doesn't have good answers maybe see a bio-physical chiropractor? Some good strong chamomile tea may help relax the muscles a bit. I hope you are recovering soon.
