Unhappy pain for first couple thrusts of sex

me and my boyfriend have been datin for 8 months now and didnt have sex until 4 months into the relationship, but now the last month or so i have expereinced a sharp pain when we first start to have sex but then it goes away after about a minute. we've used lubricants which have helped a little but the pain is still severe, any idea? thanks!

You could have a tilted cervix, it is common in women and can simply go away by itself.

Try different positions that aren't so deep in penetration to determine if this is the problem.

I get that as well. Your body is just getting used to the stretching because your vagina is naturally not stretched at all times of the day (and shouldn't be so to prevent infections). Just ask him to put it in maybe an inch, then in and out a few times till that feels okay, from there have him push more in and repeat the process until you no longer feel any discomfort. Rushing into things can actually tear stuff up which is anything but awesome.

If you are fully aroused the vagina will respond and it shouldn't be a problem. I think CW is more likely on the right track. Strengthening the pc muscle (kegels) and ab exersizes may very well resolve this. Try a different angle of entry. How about you on your side, lower leg extended, upper leg bent, him on his knees between your legs?

Also, how often do you have sex? Whenever I haven't had sex for a while, it can be a bit painful and I will end up sore. If you have sex several times a week, this is probably not the right explanation, but maybe if you have sex once a week or less it might make sense.
