You are still considered a virgin until your hymen is broken or if you have had the penis fully inserted. The penis would usually need to go in farther to break the hymen which causes bleeding in most women.

It's going to be rough getting through your first time. You have to just make sure you are real relaxed, well lubricated, and work through the pain. The pain will only go away after you have gone all the way at least once... maybe two or three times. It gets much better after that though.
