When will my hymen stop bleeding?

Yesterday, I decided that I wanted to break my hymen so that I don't have to go through that the first time that I have sex (I'm a virgin).

So I did, using a vibrator shaped like a dildo. It was 7" long but I only got about 4-5 inches of it in, but I started bleeding so I figured I was good to go and let it go for then lol :P.

So this morning, I am bleeding just like I am having my period, and I put a pad in and I'm still bleeding.

I am not due for my period for another week and a half or so, though, so I don't know why it would come early, and why it would coincide with me breaking my hymen. Coincidence? Or is this blood from my hymen breaking and not my period?

I'm afraid to use a tampon b/c I want to let my hymen heal, but I'm also confused as to whether or not this is my period.

I have never had irregular periods before; they've always been right on time. Sooo...what is this?

^ Note that I forgot to add on: As you can tell from my somewhat not-sexy description of it, I was not fully aroused when I forced it in, so I was not completely wet and as a result it was uncomfortable but it didn't really hurt that badly; just a little bit before I managed to push the vibrator beyond that "point."

I don't know if that might have anything to do with it (bleeding irritation?), but thought I'd add that in.
