*like how do you feel about your man watching porn?
*do you watch porn?
*do you like it and get turned on?

any thoughts at all on this would be appreciated. i am just intersested in this topic as peoples opinion vary so much.

actually i have so i know the feeling lol, but i have recently overcome that by thinking 'hey, he's not going to be sleeping with them, he's sleeping with me' kind of thing haha! i have a weird way of thinking things but hey its working. Some porn just freaks me out though, i dont mind watching the weird things, but certain things i'd rather just not watch lol

Most of it is so badly,well, calling it acting is giving it more credit than it's due, but I guess that would be the term, it's so badly acted. There is not story or script. It has one purpose only and that is men's jack off material. The performers look bored stiff rather than aroused. They all say the same stuff over and over, the positions are, of course, designed for the camera and not pleasure. Depending on the genre, it's pretty much the same progression of events. Some of what they do is flat out stupid, for example, going from anal to vaginal or oral sex.

Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, everything we see, hear, say or do afftects us. While critical thinking can mitiagate some of it, our minds still process it somehow. I can tell when the man in my life has been watching porn more than usual. What he wants and his responses change - that does not improve the quality of the sex. So in that sense it does follow into our sex life.

I find most professional porn extremely boring. The people are plastic and most of the sex is fake. It's unfortunate that it gives too many people a false idea of what makes the ideal body or what makes for exciting sex.

I don't like it when my guy watches porn because I see it 2 lights (neither reflecting good on me)

1. That he is watching it because he'd prefer to fantasize about other women while masturbating to an orgasm he could get (that I'm perfectly ready and able to give) from me.

2. That he is watching it to get himself turned on to have sex with me, which makes me feel he thinks I am inadequate at turning him on.

Both scenerios make me feel like the last pick for the afterschool kickball game!!

I've taken to watching it with him occasionally, to try to take some of the power away from it, to try to get myself comfortable with it.

I don't get the same bad feelings when we watch it together as I do when I see he's been looking up girls on his own time. But I don't feel special when we watch it together either.

Every regular on this board knows porn is a hot button issue for me, one that I am working on trying to become less hurt over. Its a process.

There is no real equalizer for women not that into porn who's men are. Oh some on here may say... well women use vibrators and dildos so thats the same as porn.. nah, not really.

When a chick takes to her dildo she's likely thinking about her man, when a man takes to porn -- he's likely thinking about the chick he's watching. There in lies the difference.

One is a sexual aid (I don't personally use them... probably once in the last year) to help women who have difficulty with orgasm. One is an emotional cheating aid, to allow guys the opportunity to see just about any woman they want to (or a look-alike) naked, to think about them.. to fantasize about having sex with them when they are bored with the offerings of the one that loves them.
