Physiologically you would be okay with her wearing alternative boots with another man, just not the ones you chose not because of the money you spent, but the value of what those boots mean to you, "special/mine"... that's a possession thought.
My ex bought me bathers when we were trying to re-concile, bright canary yellow.. I wear them as my main bathers, because I love them. We have rings... and I always gave mine back, as i think it's polite but the Courts would allow me to keep them, they were a gift, i still have my wedding rings as I haven't seen him in two and a half years, i wear them. And, I would still wear a sexy black or electric blue bra and knicker set with another man, if my previous man bought them, if I liked them and felt "special" in them.. what am i to do? I like them, but I best throw them away? Sorry, my views haven't changed either... Once you give something as everyone else has said, it's a gift to do what you want with and it's perceived that way as well... Now a bed? That may be different as I left all furniture behind, and bought all new as I didn't feel right about it.

the breast implants analogy is a good one. while extreme, it makes sense from the opposite viewpoint. i'll still have to think about all this, but it all gives me a perspective to consider. oh and that life isn't fair part doesn't help. i can't come up with an argument against that. thats like the joker card.

agreed
a gift is a gift. break up means move on. like telling someone to return an orgasm. I'll be with my guy forever. God forbid he should die and I eventually had another partner. I'd never wear what he gave me, but that's a lot different than dating in my mind. Besides, probably no guy would get cranked up with the crazy leather outfits and stuff he buys me anyway, LOL. |
