Default Advice Please: What Size Breasts are Best?

OK, it's MY turn to ask a question here: and I do believe with a thread title like this, there'll be plenty of responses...

I have a close friend who has decided she wants breast surgery, cosmetic surgery (a "lift") including implants, and she asked me yesterday what size she should request!

I suggested a 'C' cup, which has always seemed sufficient to me.
What I did not know is that she is at present a 'D', and a woman friend of hers had recommended a "DD."

But she still wanted me opinion and I'm curious as to what women feel is "sufficient" without causing back pain, unwanted attention, or whatever other advantages or drawbacks there might be to large or small.
Further facts: she is petite: about 5'-4", wears U.S. size 0 dresses, and is a fairly active person: works out daily, rides horses, etc.
She's planning on doing this to be ready for a (clothes) modeling job of some sort in late January.

Thanks in advance! I know I can count on y'all for some useful advice!

As far as I have observed, models don't really have the busty Busty look. But, since she is interested, relative to her height, I would think a 'C' or a 'B' cup is just right.

    i'm just shy of 5'5'',
i guess you'd call me petite.
    i fit into a size 2 or 4 dresses.
i have 34 B's and i love them since shes active i think the D's would be harder to handle but i mean it is up to her.

D, in my opinion, would look a bit ridiculous. She'll get plenty of unwanted attention, no doubt. Not to mention, it would be near impossible to find clothes as small as she is, that would fit properly. And no matter how big your boobs are, if you're clothes are ill fitting, you just won't look all that nice.
I agree with Cloudnine, B or C would be plenty.

As the old (mens) adage goes more than a mouthful is a boast more than a handful is a waste.

The first question you have to ask how would her life be better with different sized chest. Why would it make her happier.

    My experiance:

My previous partner was 5'6" and Uk 8/10 (US 2/4 I think) a very attractive girl any guy would give their right arm for (looks wise she is a bad person). She dressed well and was confident. She said to me she wanted them done. I said she had lovely perky boobs (which she did) how would your daughter (13 at the time) feel. I said review it when you boob weren't so perky.

Since parting way shes now 34 D/E. I am not going lie they look ok but but does it make her any more attractive, NO. Will she have to go for surgery again when the current pair wear out, YES. Can I (and others) take her seriously, LESS SO. Will her now 16 year old daughter get a pair, I hope she is a bigger and better person than that but I fear not.

In the UK boob jobs cost £3k to £5k that's a lot of vacines for kids in Africa.

5ft 4, o dress size, sizew DD boobs, Pamela Anderson comes to mind and I agree, she will attract the wrong men in her life and look, a tad "artifical"..

I also think a C or even a B, maybe suggest she gets a bra in each of those sizes, stuffs them with cotton wool and puts them on and takes a look at herself in the mirror.....

I tend to agree with everyone who has posted here so far; all the reasons are good except for the non sequitor about Africa...

And yes of course, most fashion models are too anorexic to have much of a bust, but this is North Texas, and fashions are a little different around here!

She's leaning toward a "DD" (how does that compare to 'E'?) though, and as much as I might like to recommend otherwise, I won't:
    (a) it must be important to her to be an attention-getter (how else do you explain the brand-new Corvette? lol), and
    (b) what would I do if she DID take my recommendation and then wasn't happy with them? (I mean, what if *SHE* wasn't happy with them? I know I will be! )
I don't want to be solely responsible for her feelings of self-worth.

Thanks for the answers, though; at least now I don't feel completely out of touch!
    So to speak...

I agree! Or better yet, go out on the town in a DD bra and see what it's like.
Honeslty, it sounds like she's not happy with herself. If that's the case, no size will make her feel better, there will always be something wrong.

Even though she is currently a D, after getting breasts lifted and implants inserted a C would probably look more full than her current D. However... It really depends on her body structure/skin tone for what the docs think they can put in and still have any resemblence of something natural

Implants look bigger because of their shape and full/roundess than natural breasts so Natural D will *appear* smaller than an implanted C and an implanted DD will be...pushing porn star territory but whatever makes her happy in feel good is what matters most.

My breast implants make me a 34 D cup, people always think I am bigger than that.

My wife was curious about a breast augmentation. I don't think she needs it (she is a 38 C or 40 Bj) depending on bra size. When she was younger (pre-children, she was a 36B) and this is what she THINKS she is. I did some measurements because she was always complaining about her bras not fitting. After, actual measurements she realized how much bigger she had become. Granted, some of the heft has to do with weight. Anyway, most women just need a bigger cup size, if you are going to go through the time, pain and expense a little bigger is better. There are many resources that can guide you, but remember check out the downside of breast augmentation, you may not want to risk it.
