Default Is it O.k.?

I was wondering if it's o.k. to have sex with a bladder infection.
I know I dont like to with a yeast infection. I dont know how long it takes to clear up a bladder infection.

Well, a bladder infection is in your urinary tract which is something seperate from your internal vaginal area. There is a pill that you can get from your doctor that will clear it up right away and you only have to take one. Also, drink lots of cranberry juice because it is known to kill the bacteria from bladder infections. It is doctor recommended. Sex should not make it any worse, but I would not recommend it if you are experiencing pain in your abdomen. Have you been tested for a bladder infection? You should make sure it's not something else going on! Good luck!

Default bladder infections are not fun....

When I first got married, i got multiple bladder infections... and i was always going to the doctors and getting perscribed the medication that takes them away, yet they would always return. I finally had enough and asked the doctor if there was a preventable solution. They said (and I got the same response from different doctors) that what my problem was, was I MUST use the bathroom after intercourse. I thought that diagnoses was pretty mysterious, but took the doctors advice. I havn't had a bladder infection to this day, four years later. I would'nt, but that is just my opinion from past experiecnce.

It is true that urinating after intercourse can help prevent bladder infections. The bladder runs down to the clitoras (clit or hood) and is expelled there. During sex or masterbation, you are introducing bacteria into the opening of the clitoras. The bacteria then travels up that channel and into your bladder where it grows into an infection. Urination helps flush this bacteria out before it can reach the bladder. Cranberry juice helps by filling the bladder with acidic fluid which kills off the bacteria. It does not always work, but is known to help and recommended by doctors. It can be used for preventive measures. Also being sure to wash your hands, body parts, and any adult toys that will come in contact with that area, with soap and water before using them.

Yes i agree with all the ladies. I also try to make sure my bladder is empty before I have intercouse if I have time. Sometime I like to keep some cranberry juice on stand by so immediately after sex I drink it and then go to the restroom.
