    Default Pegging! Need your opinion.

Alright ladies, so I'm interested to see how you all weigh in on this.

My boyfriend and I were discussing the act of pegging. He belongs to a forum for guys and someone brought up the topic and whether or not a man participating in such makes him gay.

He had said about 90% of the men who responded said, as expected, "yes, totally gay" or "anything up the butt makes you a f**" and other garden variety macho male responses.

What do you think? Is it "gay" for a man to participate in and enjoy being pegged by his gal?

You're gay if you are attracted to someone of the same sex. Men aren't gay because they like anal sex, they are gay because the are attracted to men. Anal sex is just one of the ways they have sex, it's not the REASON they are with other men.

sounds like a bunch of guys who aren't secure with their own sexuality.

Here's from a man's perspective: I am a man, and am fine with my sexuality. But I can't stand the thought of a foreign object entering my body in a sexual way (besides a clit on my tongue or a nipple in my mouth). Men are not used to an object entering them in their butt. Women are used to objects entering them (and exiting them in the form of a baby). Some women are repulsed, just as men are, by the thought of anal sex, for whatever reason: it's dirty there, it's tight and it hurts (even with lube), etc.

I don't think the repulsion is a "gay" thing. I think it's simply unusual and irregular enough that most men just won't try or like it.

Guys are taught to be homophobic from the first day of school. The board your BF subscribes to seems to support this little jewel of knowledge. Gay means you are attracted to the same sex only. He can enjoy anal penetration w/o being gay. Or maybe I'm gay and don't know it. If I enjoy penetration from a woman does that make me bi? I always thought I might be a lesbian trapped in a man's body.

The guys blowing this off as gay have never had an intimate, loving, sexy girlfriend/wife play in their backdoor.

    Yes!

I agree completely. My boyfriend and I incorporate pegging into our sex life on a regular basis, probably just as much as regular sex.

I guess I really wasn't surprised by the responses on his forum. Though comparing those to the ones on here, it definitely reiterates the whole male homophobia thing. I just don't quite understand how one goes on to associate the pleasurable sensations of anal sex to being attracted to and wanting an emotional/sexual relationship with a man. Because gay people do it, it's considered gay? Lesbians have oral sex, so because I like oral sex I'm a lesbian? Makes my head hurt.

    Totally agree

IMO Men are socially conditioned not to talk about sex in a construtive or balanced manner

That's why the more enlightened men post here rather than a mens social site

Labels are pointless. "gay" "virgin" "kinky" "normal". There isn't an test you need to pass. Some people will think this makes you gay. Some people will think that wearing pink makes you gay (when we all know that wearing jeans and a leather jacket makes you gay ).

If you and your partner enjoy something, and it doesn't cause anyone harm, then great - have fun. Most people don't tell their friends details about their sex lives, so no one else will know.

I actually think the whole gay == anal sex thing causes a lot of confusion. I wonder how many men think they might be gay because they enjoy receptive anal sex. Receptive anal sex stimulates the prostate and is arousing to most men - gay or straight. One of the really bad things about gay rape is that the victim will often orgasm and feel guilty about that as well as traumatized by the experience.

They would probably also say that us enlightened men are gay because we post on a woman's forum.

And men that use smiley faces are gay. (oops, there I go again!)

It's not HOW you have sex but with WHOM that matters when it comes to sexual orientation. A guy getting it up the pooper from his girlfriend is about as gay as two guys giving each other blowjobs are straight.
