It will definitely not effect her ability to get pregnant in the future.

If both you and she want to have sex when she is bleeding you can with no worries for future fertility.

You need to know more about human reproduction. Some basic facts:

The menstrual cycle is the woman's reproductive cycle, it lasts about 28 days. The lining of the uterus (womb - where the baby would grow) builds up and if there is no baby the lining bleeds out and starts building up again.

Day 1 is the first day she starts bleeding.
Some women bleed for 3 days, some for 7 days, some for 10 days. There is no 'normal' - we are all different.
Some women bleed heavily, some lightly. There is no 'normal' - we are all different.
It is very unusual (but not impossible) for a woman to get pregnant while bleeding.
Day 9 to 23 - a woman may get pregnant. During this time the lining of the uterus is building back up. Some time here an egg will come from one of her ovaries and start moving down to the uterus. When your sperm and her egg meet that is when she can get pregnant.
Day 24 - 28 - a woman will not usually get pregnant in this time but it is not impossible.

28 days is not a rule - some women have 24 day cycles - some have 34 days cycles - some have 60 days cycles. There is no 'normal' - we are all different.

If both you and your wife want to you may have sex all the way through the cycle. It will never effect her ability to have babies. It is just there are some days when she is more likely to get pregnant right then and some days when she will probably not get pregnant right then.

I hope that helps. Ask your doctor for more information.
