Biblically they did not know the anatomy nor had the science to understand the hymen in depth. So they did not understand how fragile the hymen is. It can be broken in many non sexual ways.

You can claim she is not a virgin all you want based on your interpretation of the bible, but in reality she is a virgin because she has not had intercourse. Whether or not you believe that is up to you.

If it is not painful and does not feel like he scratched you (which has happened to me before and produces less blood) then it probably was your hymen. But as hymens are not typically important in the "am I a virgin" in common society anymore I wouldn't worried. You are still a virgin at heart (and in most people's eyes) as you have not had intercourse.
