No not really, I mean if he enjoys it then go for it. Personally it does not do much for my arousal and never has brought me to orgasm, but he loves it so I let him endulge. If a guy is in love with his gf and she with him and he likes arousing her with his tongue and they are both into it, I would say several sessions a day would be good, time permitting of course.
I don't think that it can be performed too much, as long as both parties aren't sore, haha! I would love to have it as often as possible.
However, I will say that a guy can be too enthusiastic when it comes to giving oral.
