Thread: could oral foreplay lead to yeast infection or uti?

I was getting them constantly, my mom said that oral could be the cause. Does it go both ways if i preform for him is it the same risk? Or if he preforms for me? We like to play with both before intercourse, and lately i have with held a bit nervous about the impending risk. i hate the feeling of infection, i practically live off of the cranberry pills and the Umpa Lumpa pill!

I have never ever ever got a yeast infection from foreplay. Make sure he washes up before u guys go at it. ur body mgiht just be rlly prone to infection easily

Yes it could because any bacteria entering that area can lead to an infection. Cranberry pill is better than nothing but just barely, buy the juice and drink at least 8 oz. a day. Make sure the juice is 100% juice and NO sugar or corn syrup or any other sweetners. Do you eat yogurt, it will help raise the amount of "good" bacteria and can help. Also, make sure you are using a water-base lube because oil-base can keep harmful bacteria locked in.

More importantly, wash up after your play, try to urinate afterwards too, it will help flush any harmful bacteria out.

is barely a wheat bi product, i think it might be i am intolerant to wheat... I will double cheek and hope to give it a try. thank you for your reply!

I guess it could be possible if one of you had an uderlying yeast infection. If you both wash good before you start I would think you should be fine. If you have any signs or symptoms of a yeast infection do not do.

I found out through using a midwife why I get yeast infections and UTI's, because I'm normally constipated. She put me on acidlophilous (good bacteria that keeps yeast and bad bacteria under control), d-mannose (the concentration of the stuff in cranberry that kills UTI's), and a whole food calcium/magnesium. That worked like a charm and I didn't get infections for the rest of my pregnancy. There are a whole lot of reasons you would get yeast infections, I had a friend once that could only use a certain few soaps or else she would get them, I honestly doubt oral foreplay would be the culprit.
