Anal: lube vs. spit

Since we started having anal sex, my boyfriend has been using his spit as lubrication. Later on in the year, we started using KY lube (first His and Her, then warming) and for some reason it really burns when we use it. Since we are dating exclusively, I'm not worried about catching anything from him, especially since we both do blood work every two to three months.. So the spit is not a problem. But it's a little discouraging that using lube is so painful for me. Is there something in KY that I'm sensitive to that I'm unaware of? Are there other types that I can try?

There are tons of different kinds. The warming one seem to irritate a lot of people. Just go for the plain old lube, nothing fancy.

Both those KY ones suck, the His and Hers and the warming, I wouldn't use them period, especially for anal. NO WAY.

AstroGlide, IMO, is by far the best.

Agreed, KY is probably the worst brand out there for some reason.

Liquid Silk is another really good lubricant, IMO. I can't imagine just using spit, though! Ouch! No way!

Lube with some added liquid may be best. Many lubes kind of gum up a bit and need to be thinned so to speak.

When me and my boyfriend have anal sex we currently use Vaseline to lube up my anal hole. Usually with his fingers before he inserts his penis into my anal opening. We have also use KY but only the plain type nothing fancy. I agree never use the warming KY it causes great irritation.

Yea, using spit is especially irritating in the summer because it evaporates so quickly. Also the anus tends to absorb a lot of moisture. Good thing I come a lot via anal otherwise it would be a very painful process lol.

spit ! no way see if he likes it without lube. my guess is he wouldn't.
