    Default Boyfriends Orgasm

Physically Please don't hate me because I'm ignorant.
I found this site through an Google search and have not tried any others.
I have never watched porn and I'm not sure I want to. I'm 20 years old and have never been with a man until a few months ago. Now he seems to be getting serious, at least physically anyway.
I'm not a total idiot. I get most of the stuff I learned in sex-ed.
    My question..
When we make out he wants me to play with his erection, I get that, but after a while he orgasms.
Is his ejaculate supposed to squirt? I know that his penis is a delivery system for sperm into a vagina, but is it supposed to shoot like that? Is that normal?
During his orgasm his penis will jerk and spray his (seamen?) several times. It seems quite long enough to reach my ovaries without having to squirt like that.
Have any of you noticed this with your boyfriends?
Thank you for your kind replies, and tolerating my ignorance.

There is no real way for him to ejaculate. Some men squirt, some bubble, some just dribble, some do not have any semen come out during ejaculation at all. The jerking motions are the muscle contractions occurring from his orgasm. Its the body's way of forcing the semen out, much like a female's contractions are to try and 'bring' the semen closer to the cervix and uterus.

Just making note since you seem new to the sex material, if you are planning on having sex make sure you have some form of protection planned out whether it be condoms or birth control pills.

Although the semen is squirted out (or bubbled or dribbled), it is not that action that gets it to the eggs for fertilization. The sperm have a tail on them that whips back and forth to provide locomotion. The egg(s) is(are) not in the ovaries if they are to be fertilized. They should have traveled down the fallopian tubes and they should be in the uterus. If they haven't completed the journey, they could be fertilized in the fallopian tube, which could lead to a life threatening situation. The first sperm to the egg which penetrates its exterior causes a change so others cannot penetrate.

The vagina is a flattened tube that envelopes the penis as it is inserted. As such, there is usually little space for a squirt to go. Mostly the squirted semen will hit the wall of the vagina and have to make the rest of the journey with their own power. This gives an advantage to the strong swimmers. Its possible to have the squirted semen hit the cervix if the penetration is deep enough when the squirt takes place.

Thanks JNS. Yours was the most intelligent response I received. But, I still can't figure out why they need to shoot that stuff so far. Anyway thanks again.

It's not the 'need' to shoot the stuff so far, it is their bodies reaction. Much like a woman who squirts, some actually squirt, some dribble, again, it is the bodies reaction to stimulation.

    Uncontrollable for the most part.

Its actually a biological mechanism for a better chance for the semen to reach the uterus. Many sperm are going to die before they even reach the cervix, could be because they are not strong enough, they die within the pH difference of the vaginal secretions, the secretions within the vagina are just too thick and they cannot move through it...many reasons. For a sperm, which is very microscopic, it takes a lot of effort to swim the 3-5 inches that the vagina is so the body has responded by allowing a jumpstart to that distance by 'shooting' the semen further and therefore possibly closer to the cervix. If the semen can be placed right at the cervix at initial ejaculation then they are obviously going to have more energy to swim into the uterus and as a result more sperm will be able to eventually swarm the egg.
