I would suggest that perhaps you don't let him finish in your mouth. Reason being you may not enjoy it which could turn you off from performing oral. Also if you do it the first time he may always expect it, which could really be a problem if you didn't enjoy it. Then again its totally up to you and depends on how comfortable you feel about it. If he is caring like you say, he won't care where you alllow him to "release".

It's not that hard or big of an event, we all have to learn some time.

Just take him in your mouth and do what comes naturally to you, you'll get the hang of it, and yes get some feed back from him.. And if I were you I'd let him finish in your mouth, sooner or later he will anyway, so you might get used to it right off the bat..
