Default I think my boyfriend is a sex addict

I'm 21 and my boyfriend is 26 years old. We have been dating for a year, we moved in together 6 moths ago. At first we were having a lot of sex, about 6-7 times a day and I really enjoined it. But not so much anymore. I tell him that I would fine with doing it 1-2 times a day but he wants more. He's always in the mood for sex, if I touch, kiss him or hug him he right away wants sex or wants to go down on me and if I refuse to have sex he gets upset. He tells me that is because he loves me. I'm getting to the point where I don't even want to do it all, I'm not even getting wet anymore! is it because we do it so much? is he a sex addict or is this normal because we are young? please help!

Seems to me he is still very immature based on what you mentioned, i.e. treats you like a sex object, has an expectation that you'll always satisfy his urges whenever he's aroused and he's mixed up on what love really means. Honestly with the wide variety in relationships it is hard to say what is truly "normal", but what is clear is that you are concerned that it's too much and he's not getting the message yet. Be firm, you know deep inside what's right, trust your gut and be direct with him. If he truly loves you, he'll listen and change.

1 to 2 times a day isn't unreasonable!! I think him getting upset with that is unreasonable! He needs to cool down a bit or you will start to pull away and that will cause even bigger problems.

    bianca,
There could be many issues driving his high level of desire. If you really care about him and want a lasting relationship with him communication is key. Let him know how you feel and why you feel the way you do. Ask him to do some soul search as to why he wants sex so much. He may have some type of insecurity issue and need some counseling.

I completely agree with fox that 1-2 times isn't unreasonable. Good luck.
