    Default allergies or something else

With my ex I had found out that I was most likely allergic to spermicide because I developed a yeast infection last time. We had sex twice and I developed the worse yeast infection I have ever had. Well recently I had sex with the new guy Ive been with forgetting to tell him I was allergic. We had sex almost 3 days ago now and I'm not sure what to think. Ive been peeing more frequently and having the urge to pee more often. It seems kinda tingly and numb down there. Its just not feeling normal that's all I can think. Its a little on the dry side too. I want to set up an appointment with my OBGYN but they are booked. Was wondering if anyone else experienced this before or had an opinion on what it might be. Just worried it may be something I dont want. Any ideas?

    A man's point of view....

Don't wait for your OB/GYN. Be seen by somebody. Obviously, your body is trying to tell you something and you may not be listening.

Only you know your body and only you know when something isn't right...so why wait?

Have you tried doing some home research online at a site like webMD ? webMD is one of the most highly regarded medically related sites on the internet.

I wouldn't do anything to self medicate or treat using over the counter products until you know more.

You may increase your water intake to help your body naturally flush out what ever is causing the changes ot it.

    My guess?
Parabens or, if you were using a condom, latex - or both.
I'm allergic to both. Latex dries me out instantly like a sponge and causes irritation, itching and other responses depending on exposure levels. Parabens (a cheap preservative in many products) can cause a variety of reactions, in my own case, itchy, cracking, peeling, ozzing, bleeding skin, swelling, puffiness, it's not fun or pretty. About 10% of people are paraben sensitive.

Try some benadryl, lots of water, cranberry juice (100% fruit).
Once you are healed and ready to try sex again, get latex free, non lubricated condoms and paraben free/fragrance free lube or whatever products you feel you need. A good quality adult store should have a selection of products and their sales people should be trained to help you.

It also sounds a little bit like the onset of a UTI. That can happen whether you're allergic to something or not. Bacteria gets into the urethra and into your urinary tract. Drink lots of water and try some AZO tablets. It will help with some discomfort. I would still see your doctor though, because UTI's (if that's what it is) usually don't go away on their own.

It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore, live but one day at a time.~
