Are you saying that you don't get turned on by him when he is kissing you, or you don't want to have sex because of the pains from him going too deep?

It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.

Maybe it hurts because you don't get fully turned on because you're not that attracted to him. Do you still have strong feelings for him?

Have you tried taking it a little slower?

Maybe start over by just kissing, or foreplay instead of moving right to sex? Maybe spend more time getting turned on instead of putting pressure on yourself to be up for sex when you're not yet.

I know the feeling you're talking about, you want to have sex, but in the moment, for whatever reason, the intimacy is kind of overwhelming and almost gross. Maybe think about a way on non-judgmentally telling him that you're having issues in that department, and that you want to experiment with different ways of getting aroused and easing into sex.

You did just recently have a child, i think it might be hormonal. It takes a while for the hormones to adjust. You might want to see you GP?
