Default Very low sex drive. Help!

    Hi Everyone,

I'm 23 and I have such a low sex drive that it can sometimes depress me. I'm on a number of medications that can cause a low sex drive, and yet I can't get off these medications because without them I am not emotionally or mentally stable. This low sex drive thing has been going on for about 18 months when I had to double the dosage of one of my drugs due to PMDD. Prior to that I thought about men and sex and I would become very aroused very easily - when I walked I could actually hear my arousal. But now I hardly fantasize anymore and I just can't get aroused. Is it possible my sex drive could come back with the right man? Is it even possible to fall in love? And most importantly - is there anything I can do to improve my sex drive? I'm open to anything - vitamins, drinks, medications, etc.

I hope someone can help me. Thanks for reading this!

I don't think lack of sex drive will prevent you from falling in love. I can relate because I am on antidepressants, which lower sex drive. The only thing I can think of is trying different medications. I was on SSRI's for a while (And recently got back on them) and had no sex drive, but was switched to a different kind of antidepressant that did not affect my sex drive. There are meds out there that do that, but you need to see if they work for you individually. Talk to your doctor and see if you can come up with a solution. It's a common side effect of medications, so don't feel that there is anything wrong with you.

It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore, live but one day at a time.~
