Hi everyone, thanks in advance for any advice. I'm not exactly sure if this is in the right section of the forum, but here goes :
So, about a month ago, my boyfriend noticed some strange spots on the base of his penis. We both freaked out, but he had absolutely no symptoms of any STD. I thought it was possibly a male yeast infection, since I had similar spots when I got a severe one a year ago. He was tested before we got together, and was clean. I had a pap smear back in October, and was also clean. Since this was after Christmas and we both began using new body washes, could it possibly be an allergic reaction? I haven't had any strange lumps or bumps or any symptoms for myself, and his went away after he quit using that body wash down there.
The spots went away after 2 days, and now, a month later, he just has one single open one that appeared yesterday after we had sex. He has no itching or pain, no nausea or stomach issues that are associated with most STD's that show bumps. I also noticed it has a hair growing out of it. So is this maybe an allergic reaction or infected hair follicle? Or maybe a fordyce bump?
I also noticed that these bumps only appear after we have sex while I'm on my period, and heal up pretty fast. And I am going to the doctor tomorrow for a test for all possible STD's, but if it is negative, I'd like to know if maybe any of your boyfriends or a friend has experienced something similar, just to put us both at ease.
Anything is helpful at this point. We've looked at pictures of mild to severe cases of any STD that could cause this, along with allergic reactions, and the symptoms to all of it. He and I are completely honest with each other, from what we're doing that day to something weird going on with our bodies. Could it have been a hive that got popped open from fooling around with clothes on? I've never had this problem, and of the two of us, I'd be the most likely to have something like that going on.
Again, any advice is appreciated at this point. And sorry for the long post, I tend to blab on and on!
