Default First week of having sex ever, fun at first now painful, light spotting after sex

I'm 21 years old and just started my first sexual relationship ever last weekend (aside from when I was raped a year ago so my hymen has been long gone). It was on my honeymoon. My husband and I had sex for the first time last friday. It was amazing. I experienced no pain and I was very turned on. We had sex ALOT over the weekend. I mean a lot. Well we started to have sex on friday Saturday night we were having sex kinda roughly and I started bleeding a little bit. Nothing major. I was fine for the next day. Last time we had sex last weekend was sunday night. We used a condom and I cleaned myself out every single time. We didn't have sex for a few days until wedesday. And it hurt really really bad. I made him go very gently. I spotted a bit afterwards. Thursday we tried to have sex and I couldn't do it. It hurt so bad. Yesterday morning I was able to. I had to go very gently and I did spot afterwards. I'm taking a break for a while. Another detail and I'm not sure if this could be possible.... On the trip I was very very aroused. And we had sex a lot so my husband did not get a chance to get "as" excited so he was much softer. But now that we're not doing it as often he has been more excited and it hurts. Like I said, I have wanted sex but no where near as aroused as I was on the trip.

I called a hospital hotline and the nurse said she thinks it's just my body reacting to the trauma of a lot of sex very soon. She said to not have sex for a few days that my body just needs to heal.

I don't know if this is related but I am also experiencing cramping and breakthrough bleeding, for I started on birth control about 3 weeks ago. I have been dligent and taking my pill (and my gyno reasusred me the pills would kick in after 2 weeks)

    WHat do you think?

I think the nurse is right. Its called the Honeymoon Syndrome. Some women when they start off with a bang having lots of sex, will develop an UTI or some other infection. Its due to the unaccustomed activity level. Go get checked to make sure you haven't got an infection starting.

Then make sure you are aroused before having intercourse. Maybe slow things down a little and focus on bringing each other to orgasm in other ways while you heal? Then your hubby won't be quite so urgent when you are able to start again.

I think WC is right. Spend more time on foreplay to get your body excited and to orgasm. Your husband has to learn to be gentle with your body. If he is using his hands, he may not realize that his touch is not soft enough. Guide him on what feels good.

And if you've never used birth control before it can mess around with how your body reacts for a bit. At least it did with me, but I just needed time to adjust to being on it.
