    Default Chances of being Pregnant?

    Hi all..
This is my first post..so hoping i dont sound too paranoid!
I am 23...committed and been so with my boyfriend for three years. Whenever we have sex...i go all paranoid the next day hoping i am not pregnant. I am not on the pill (which is stupid) but we use the male condoms..quite carefully.
Despite our efficiency..i need some true insights for what my chances are. We tend to usually avoid my ovulation week..but last night just happened. I was right on my ovulation day and we had sex but we did use protection and made sure it wasnt torn. I am still freaking out over the "what if"
    Need some true response here

hey pinkl..dont go paranoid...i completely understand your worry.. lol..even i face the same anxiety each time i have sex with my bf.. but condoms when used properly are very effective.. well they say condoms are effective in 97% cases when used properly ..yes,there is always a little chance involved..but its very rare..so relax..why do you think birth controls are stupid?

Your best bet would be to go on the birth control pill, that is about 98-99.xx% effective if taken exactly as directed. Condoms are much lower, maybe 90-95% if used correctly. Whatever you choose DO NOT resort to taking the morning after pill each time you have sex if that was a thought popping into your head. That is not a form of birth control to be used constantly, it is only for emergency cases when there may actually be good reason to think pregnancy (not using any form of protection).
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.

whatever method of contraception you use there will always be a chance of getting pregnant. the only way to not get pregnant is simply not to have sex....but wouldn't that be boring lol

So i say just use your chosen contraception as directed and enjoy the moment rather than worrying. If the worst ever did happen you need to cross that bridge when you come to it. I fell pregnant at 18, i am now 25 and have 3 children. and you know even though it was a scary time now i would never turn the clock back and not be a mother. Its a precious gift, so if on the small chance it ever did happen, embrace it

    good luck to you

I think she ment not being on a BC pill is stupid, not that the pills are stupid. But I agree with karennicholls that whatever you choose, use it as directed. If you stayed with condoms, you could always use a spericide along with it too.
