    Default Vasectomy

Since I heard some horror stories prior to the procedure I thought I would pass on my experience, now almost a month removed from my surgery. Hopefully this helps to ease the anxiety some of the men posting on here and perhaps some of the women trying to convince their men to get snipped may have.

1)My sex drive has not deminished one bit. In fact because I think it was enhanced since I was on the injured reserve for a week.

2)It was not painful at all. I had the no scalpal procedure and the most painful part was the localized freezing. After that there was a little discomfort but no pain to speak of.

3)There was no change to the volume, texture or appearance of my semen afterwards.

4)I have had no problem achieving or maintaining an errection.

I just wanted to share that. I know some people may have had some bad experiences but I would say listen to your doctor, rest as much as you can, and limit physical activity for the first week or so, and you should be back to your normal self.

Thank you for sharing that information.
That is one thing I love about getting more mature - more of the men in my age group have had vasectomies. I've been a couple men who have and noticed nothing to make me think that their performance or response was affected.

One thing that was not mentioned, the tubes that are snipped serve no role in supporting the testicles. So they aren't going to drop any earlier either.

Nearly the same experience as my husband except there was some pain. His was done with a scalpel and heat. He told them he was resistant to localized pain killers so they used lidocaine instead of novocaine but started with the lower concentration which wasn't enough. The doctor ended up injected a lot which caused pressure and pain in the area and through the bladder for like a week afterward. They used the higher concentration on the other side and there was no pain.

I had the scapel less procedure as well. Other then being sterile and no sperm swimming nothing else has changed. Sex drive is the same. If anything its less worry and headache knowing the shooting blanks is all thats shooting.

After a couple "scares" (my wife being late) I finally got around to having one. I did it on Feb 4. I did feel some pain as I seem to be resistant to local anesthesia, but nothing the Valium did not get me over. I had it done on a Friday and was sore for several days, but by Monday nothing too bad. My wife actually gave me a blowjob on that Monday and it all worked and felt great.

4 weeks and 12-20 ejaculations later I am now "clean", but still need to have one more test to be sure. I have noticed nothing different about my "functionality".

I am so happy I did it.

Hi I had the snip around 4 years ago, I remember mild pain and was off work for a week just to be on the safe side as was recommended to me before the OP. I was plesently surprised I was still able to cum, I had imagined that it would not be possible. I was advised and agree that there is a drop in volume but it does look the same. I was delighted that the surgeon encouraged me to masturbate as much as possible, he didnt say if this was a short term suggestion or not ...its been 4 years, do you think that its enough by now

Mine, done on Friday, back to work on Monday.

    No pain, not much swelling.

Best 40th Birthday present I ever gave myself.
