Thread: Light bleeding for 2 wks after sex - STD??

Hi ladies,

Just a little bit of background on my situation. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and my periods have not been regular for quite some time. I had a normal Pap earlier this year - had HPV show up in Jan 2010 and my follow up in 2011 came back normal. In terms of my sexual history, I had not been sexually active for over a year....until this last weekend.

I had slight spotting on Saturday, 3/26....had sex on Sunday, a bit rougher than I'm used to...and I've had light bleeding since. I'm going on about 10 days now. It seems to be a lot lighter than before - nothing's showing up on my panty liner today. I'm not sure what this could be. Since i was spotting the night before having sex, could this have started my period which is a lot lighter than usual this month? My last period was in early February...

I know that's a lot to register but any feedback would be very helpful. I'm seeing my family doctor tomorrow morning for a different issue and will more than likely bring this up then...she'll probably refer me to a GYN so I'm hoping you can help in the meantime. Anyone experience anything similar?

Do some research on Diet and PCOS. There are government recommended Diets that can help. They can also help with developing Diabetes and Heart problems which are associated with PCOS.
