Thread: white bump near vaginal opening

I have had a white bump on my vaginal opening for a day or so. The doc says it could be a pimple as a shave there, a cyst but i have not been sexually active in a year or so he says i prob shouldn't be worried about STDs/herpes and even if it is herpes it can happen if you touch your mouth/face down to your private area I have had irregular canker sores since i was a child but that was acquired unsexually. should I be worried?

If you think you should be worried... then I say go have it checked out by your doctor to be sure.... or you can wait and see if it's an ongoing problem if you're not intending to be sexually active for awhile... I've had a few friends call me about this problem... go to get tested for everything under the sun... and come back totally shaken from the experience of waiting for the results... but totally clean, which is great to know in itself... but it does turn out to be a pimple/ingrown hair from shaving .. so far every time they've come back clean... and the bump has healed itself in the amount of time it took to get all the testing done.

No harm in getting it checked out though.

Just see a doctor and put your mind at ease!
