Default Pain and bleeding during and after sex?

Well I'm new to this website so I hope I'm doing it correctly! But anyway, last night during intercourse with my boyfriend I felt a lot of pain, more than normal ( I feel pain from time to time) but I just ignored it. Afterwards I saw that I was bleeding. And I continued to bleed throughout the night. I have also felt mild pain since then all through that area, particularly on the left side. I just got off my period a little over a week ago and my boyfriend and I haven't been with anyone else so it's no std. Is this normal though? Should I see a doctor? What could that be? Any help would be much appreciated!

It could be that during intercourse your cervix was bumped and this caused some of the uterine lining to flow. If it concerns you or continues it would be a good idea to get checked if you can, if only to put your mind at ease.
