    Default Inability to masturbate

Hi everyone. Out of desperation, I joined this website and am posting this. Here's some background.
I'm 23, and a virgin. I'm terrified of sex, but that's a story for later.
I've tried masturbating in the past, but it didn't work...Uh, I got some information on the internet about how to do it, but I honestly didn't feel anything other than discomfort. It felt abrasive.
I also have this weird fear of touching myself. I try, but then I just get so anxious about doing it, that I have to stop.
Pap smears are also EXTREMELY painful. I had to have a doctor use a pediatric speculum, and even then, it still hurt so much that she couldn't do the entire procedure.
I mentioned to the doctor that if this hurt so much, how am I supposed to handle having actual sex? she said it was different, so I can't compare the two. I hope she's right.
I guess my question is, how can I try to masturbate so it doesn't feel so uncomfortable?
I think part of my problem too is that nothing really arouses me much. I seem to have almost no libido whatsoever. Still, I REALLY want to be able to do things when I get into a serious relationship.

You don't have to insert anything to masturbate. So no need to worry about pain. In order for it to feel good you have to be MENTALLY aroused or else it'll be just like rubbing your elbow and hoping for an orgasm... won't happen. Do you ever feel turned on? Fantasize? Read sexy books/articles or watch sexy movies that make you tingle a little? Any sexual thoughts at all that cause a stir? Those are what is the most necessary componants (the sexy thoughts) to drive the desire for sex (including masturbation).

Sexy thoughts and something that vibrates placed gently on the OUTSIDE of your clothing would be a great way to start experiencing sensations.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.

Weeeellll, I sometimes get aroused reading my juicy comics. Granted, they're always malexmale, but I guess whatever works, right? thanks for the suggestion. XD
