It's timeless, and there are current threads discussing it. Necroed threads are bad for conversation, and therefore bad for "business," so to speak.
C'mon CW, get your modding boots on, necro's are a forums worst enemy... kinda... You need to stamp them out, make examples of the people that think it's fun to post in dead and forgotton threads. I've even seen some forums go as far as locking all threads over a month old simply to stop things like this.
Ah Anon, i don't think she actually pulled it for fun..
But, to the OP, poor Anon has answered a couple lately before noticing, which is valuable time for him as well as a waste of time. I wasn't having a go at him, rather, his frustration, in jest.
It is a waste of time, as the threader is long gone and the information when you searched would have showed a variety of the same topic. So it is better to answer something that is more current, then there is a chance that the threader is actually still around..and maybe we can assist them further...
It is a waste of peoples time to reply only to note after, that it's old and non applicable and frustrating..
If new to a Forum, you wouldn't see it this way...
After a while, you too would find it frustratiing....

Anonymouswhitefemale i think is simply frustratated of replying then, realsing how old the thread, there will be no reply, a waste of time, it is a rule of sorts, don't bring up old threads, if the threader is gone, as how can you honestly help that person?

Wow, way to miss the point. The point isn't to stop this poster saying whatever they have to say, it's about them saying it in the right place, so as not to irritate those that read it.
There are plenty of current discussions on the topic, but they chose to find one a year old, so that one reads through a thread that's so old that it's irrelevent, any points or counter points made to previous posts in the thread are useless as the posters won't be around to counter/retort, and people might waste time answering and reassurring/helping in the original poster only to find out later that there was no point in doing so.
So no need to bring up a pointless argument when all I'm talking about is netiquette. In the same way, I tell someone talking IN ALL CAPITALS to shut up because it sounds like they're shouting and it's harder to read. It doesn't mean I'm trying to censor what they say, just that they're stup1d. Like in the same way if in real life someone was doing pelvic thrusts at my face in the nude while they were talking to me, I'd tell them to get lost - not because I don't believe they have the right to free speach. Do you understand?
