you have shown that it can have religious significance. it does not in this context, though - which is what's important.

you can't answer this question & still maintain your statement.

    Default thank you whilhelm

I find much of what whilhelm has to say to be in agreement with my own thinking.

pornography, while I won't pretend to be an expert on the topic, doesn't seem to hold a single valuable aspect.

I have know personally 3 marriages that have failed due to porn addiction.

in one case, it was christmas eve and the wife was setting up the presents for thier kids to open the next morning. Where was dad? in the basement...watching porn.

tell me it isn't an addiction.

I, personally, have felt the pain involved when someone who says they love you, and only you, starts using porn.

it has nothing to do with the supposed violence (as hotdog's article reminds us)
it has everything to do with the psychological scarring on one's esteem and sexual drives.

it desensitizes the user (again, as the article suggests)

it is selfish because the act of sex is geared more toward self gratification rather than as a gift to your partner, an intimate moment shared between the TWO of you.

plain and simple: it is hurtful and degrading.

i find it very odd that women would enjoy watching porn, even with their partners. To me, even if you are watching it together, porn should make you feel extremely disrespected. In sex, there are 2 peices that fit together. Why should you invite another person (or image) into the unionizing of 2 people? why should you need to?

Doesn't knowing that your partner needs something or someone else to stimulate them bother you? Doesn't it hurt to know that you alone are not "good enough" to satisfy your partner?

if you claim that porn has helped your relationship, doesn't it make you ashamed to know that you had to rely on another woman's body to make things "better"? or more likely, that your partner needed to rely on the body of another woman?

how can it not bother you to know your partner will get off on the image of a girl, or boy, they don't even know and then turn around and treat you, someone they hold dear, in exactly the same way? how does that make you feel special in their eyes? if they do it to an image, what is the next step? probably the brothels.

    Pornography is cheating.

sounds like you do not understand men at all.

porn is not cheating, it has been proven that watching porn makes you less likely too cheat.

my wife is hot, great in bed, very confident, she does not see porn as a treat because she is smart. a smart confident women sees porn for what it is, it is a masterbation tool, people like to masterbate you can not change that fact.

i would also like to add that i have never cheated on my wife and i never will.

in responce to the dude. It is true, i am a woman and cannot try as i might understand the mind of men.

However, i wanted to clarify that i did not mean to imply that porn automatically leads to physical cheating. I dont think that it does, nessisarily. i think its possible, yes, but not all inclusive. however, what i really meant by porn is cheating is that when one partner engages in porn they are cheating with thier mind on thier partner. they are not respecting him/her as the soul person who desearves thier affection.

additionally, i think that when you called porn a tool for masterbation you accidentally supported the argument that porn objectifies women.

tools are objects. so what does that make the women (or men) who are used for sexual arousal when no emotional or physical, or any connection other than visual, is employed?

The Dude, I think you're completely ignoring the fact that masturbation is completely possible without the use of porn. People do it all the time, every day. It is not a necessity to please yourself, which I find to be completely healthy. What is unhealthy, is claiming that you love one woman and only one woman, and looking at others in an explicitly sexual manner. If you love the woman you're with so much, why not get in bed, get comfy, and start fantasizing about HER when you want to masturbate. Not the complete strangers in porn. And you can't tell me that she wouldn't prefer to think you were getting off to the thought of her, rather than some stranger.

i know masturabation is possible with out porn, however i prefer to use porn, it is quicker and i don't have to think about it.

i have already said that porn starrs could'nt hold a candle next to my wife, i do not think these women look better than her, i just watch to see sex, i like sex. watching people have sex, makes me think about how much i like sex.

their is nothing better than having sex with my wife, she has never had a problem with porn, she is smart, she does not see porn as a threat , why would she? she is drop dead gorgeous she knows she could have any man she wants but she chose to be with me.

i have the best wife any man could wish for and i know that i am lucky to have her.

well, dude. maybe. why not go ahead & answer then? what's the big deal?

i think it's a great question. if you believe sex is nothing sacred, then explain why it would bother you for your wife to have sex with someone other than you?

you also mentioned that it had been proven that porn makes you less likely to cheat. that's one of the dumbest things i've ever heard. you ought to send that tid bit of info to the authors of this silly article. they' might like to quote you.

unfortunately for your point, she understands men all too well. your wife's looks & the sex you two share have no relevance to her comments.

    is this a serious response??

i know math is possible without calculators, but i like calculators. they're quicker & i don't have to think about it.

the fact that you like something is not merit enough to argue that it's a valuable or positive thing.

you & the dogg are peas in a pod. you guys are made for each other.
