Thread: Please HELP! (post on men-masturbation-porn)

thank you to everyone for your responses.

Almost all men masturbate. Some use porn as an added stimulation when they do so. You will get a lot of different answers on this, but my feeling is that if it is not affecting your sex life directly, then I wouldn't worry.

Some men are addicted to porn - this is a problem just like any other addiciton. Many just use it for extra stimulation when masturbating. Remember that men are (typically) much more visually stimulated than women.

If he is masturbating rather then having sex with you, that would be a cause for concern. If he is masturbating when you are not available for sex, I think it is OK.

If the porn watching is not compulsive / addicitve, I wouldn't worry.

I suspect he is NOT comparing you to what he sees in the movies.

I feel a little better hearing it from somoneone else.
My husband claimed time and time again when i confronted him that he only used it for stimulation & it was a night wasnt aviable and that he only does it once in a while & is trying to stop.
I just was naive to think that masturbationg stops once a man is married & has a wife almost every day near him.
But i see your point & i know i hope its not some kind of addiction and i guess i just felt sad b/c i thought he is looking * other girls in the porns and comparing me to them or maybe i dont do something right.
I really appreciate your frank and honest opinion.

I think that if it's not addiction (in your case or the case of my SO), that we should be okay. Men just like to masturbate to porn, I guess. Sometimes we just take it personally.....We are from Venus, they are from Mars sorta thing.

I felt better after having convo with you (off on on through this thread)...its hard to talk about this even with other females or best friends..b/c im not sure who else is going through this or not.
We just have to do the best we can adn try to believe and trust them.
I guess that there are many things about men-their feelings or bodies that no matter how much we know...we can UNDERSTAND.

i'm staying away from the porn thing (I personally don't find it offense) as far as masturbating, if it doesn't have any affect on your sex life, what's the big deal. I think that for some men it's just a relaxation thing, LOL!! I know my husband used to masturbate, now I just make sure to have sex with him every day or twice a day. He doesn't want to masturbate now, he has to make sure he get have sex later, LOL!!

This kind of thinking/action will drive the porn industry out of business.
