A mental problem should be seriously considered. I have lived with two women who have had some sort of mental illness, my birth mother and my adopted mother. My adopted dad is misserable, he has told me that the only reason he stays with her is because he does not want to distroy the childrens' life in the home. He told me that when he first started dating her, he knew that she did odd things but he thought he could change her, turned out he was not able to and now he is sad and gets yelled at often for silly things and fears being around her. I suggest you figure out how much you really love this women and how much she really loves you. Her behavior is very strange. I understand if she wanted it to be special and it was not how she imagined but she is acting like a jerk! I am only 19 and I am more mature than her. My first time was not how I imagined but I did not treat my guy like he did something wrong, he tried his best and was worried the entire time. Like the others said the first and even the few other times are not very great but if you love eachother the connection and intamancy should be enough.

I really hope that she opens up to you and that you really have found your truelove but keep in mind that something more serious may be wrong.

Yeah, she sounds like she either has wicked PMS or so upset herself by having sex that she's thrown her cycle off a bit. Or, and I'm sorry I'm playing devil's advocate here, she's being extreme and just saying her period is late to see what YOU would say if you thought she was pregnant. And from your post it is clear that she really wanted her first time to be this magical moment that it wasn't. You can't take that back, you can only build from there.

Sorry things have gotten worse. She really sounds a tad selfish. Those traits you find "interesting" now will not be in the long run.

But if you love her, wait it out. It's a bump in the road.
